Simmer the raisins, prunes, currants, raspberries, apples and lemon juice together with water for three hours

Add sugar to taste and cinnamon sticks

Then add cornstarch to thicken and cook a few minutes more

Serve either hot or cold

It will keep a long time in the refrigerator

- 1 pound of raisins
- 1 pound of prunes
- 1/2 pound currants
- 1/2 pound red raspberries
- 6 apples
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- sugar
- cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
