Combine all ingredients in a heavy 4-quart casserole and mix well

Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce to low, cover tightly and simmer for about 1-1/2 hours, or until the apples are tender

Check occasionally and, if the fruit seems dry, add a little more water

Transfer to a bowl and cool to room temperature before serving.

- 2 pounds of dried apples
- 2 cups of applesauce
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 cup of nuts of your choice
- 2 tablespoons coriander seed
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2 ounces of dark rum
- whipped cream with vanilla
