    Boil tomatoes and peppers in chicken broth about 7 minutes

    Dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of cold water and add to boiling mixture along with salt and cilantro

    Boil for another 5 minutes, allow to cool slight- ly and puree until smooth.

  • 2 dozen tomatillos, husked
  • 4 to 6 serrano peppers, stemmed, seeded and minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
