- 4-pound soupbone
- 6 whole cloves water bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 tablespoon of peppercorns
- 1/3 cup of butter or margarine
- flour as needed
- 1/3 cup marrow
