- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 4 firm, ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 /4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
