Combine sausage and raisins

Pour boiling water over mixture and add brown sugar and molasses

Dissolve cinnamon, ground cloves and baking powder in 1-2 tablespoons hot water then add to mixture

Add walnuts

Gradually add flour (add 1 tablespoonful of flour if mixture is not holding together well). Mix well and pour into a tube pan

Bake in 250F oven for 1-1/2 hours

While cake is baking prepare icing

Ice cake while still hot and set aside to cool.

- 1 pound bourbon and brown sugar pork
- sausage, removed from casing
- 1 cup seedless raisins
- 1 pint boiling water
- 1 pound brown sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup shelled English walnuts
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
