Prepare rice according to package

In skillet brown apples and onion in margarine; remove and set aside

In the same skillet dissolve bouillon in 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil

Combine cornstarch, curry powder, and 1/4 cup cold water

Add to bouillon, stirring until mixture thickens

Add sausage, onion, and apples

Cook over low heat until apples and onion are tender

Meanwhile cover raisins with water and bring to a boil

Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes

Drain raisins, then combine with rice and place on a platter

Arrange sausage on top of rice mixture then pour sauce over all.
Sausage Curry
ingredients
- 2/3 cup long grain rice
- 2 medium apples, cut in wedges and cored
- 1 medium onion, cut in wedges
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1-1/2 teaspoons curry powder
- 3/4 pound Szechuan sausage, browned
- and cut into 1-inch pieces (page 46)
- 1/2 cup raisins
