    In skillet crumble sausage and brown it lightly; drain thoroughly

    Place half of the sliced potatoes in a 2-quart casserole

  • 3

    Combine flour and salt

  • 4

    Sprinkle half the seasoned flour mixture over the potatoes

  • 5

    Top with half the browned sausage and half of the cheese

  • 6

    Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, flour mixture, sausage, and cheese

  • 7

    Pour milk over all

  • 8

    Cover and bake at 350F

  • 9

    till potatoes are tender, 50 to 60 minutes

  • 10

    Uncover and bake 10 minutes more.

  • 1 pound maple bacon sausage
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
