Sausage Quiche
ingredients
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable shortening
- 4 tablespoons (approximately) cold water

Sift the flour together with the salt

Cut the shortening into marble-sized pieces and mix it into the flour with a pastry blender

Sprinkle the water on a little at a time while mixing continuously with the pastry blender

Make the dough into a ball

Roll the pastry out into a circle large enough to cover a nine-inch pie plate with the edges overlapping

Line the pie plate with the pastry and trim the edges.
