Place chili sauce, molasses, lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, chilies, Worcestershire, mustard, red pepper flakes, chili and pepper, garlic and salt in a medium saucepan

Bring to a boil over medium high heat

Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes

Strain sauce, pressing through as much of the sauce as possible; discard the solids

Let cool completely and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: Marinate steak (2 hours), chicken pieces (2 to 3 hours) or boneless breasts (1 hour) in this smoky sauce.

- 3/4 cup ketchup-style chili sauce
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced canned Chipotle chilies
- in adobo sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 fresh Anaheim chili, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 1/4 green bell pepper, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 /2 teaspoon salt
