Make linguine and set aside

Prepare green beans and cook in a microwave or steam until they are just tender to the bite

In a large skillet, heat together butter and oil

Saute garlic, parsley and basil over low heat for 5 minutes

Stir in crabmeat and cook for 2 minutes

Remove from heat

Meanwhile, cook linguine until al dente, drain, and transfer to a heated serving platter

In small bowl, thoroughly combine egg yolks, Parmesan, cream and salt

Toss warm linguine with egg mixture

Add crabmeat mixture and toss gently until combined

Serve immediately.
LINGUINE IMPERIAL
ingredients
- 1 full load of pasta dough made into linguine
- 1/4 pound butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil or
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1-1/2 cups fresh green beans, julienne sliced
- 1-1/2 pounds fresh crabmeat OR
- imitation crabmeat
- 4 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
