    Place yogurt, olive oil, ginger and lime juice in a medium bowl

    Whisk to combine well

    Whisk in the coriander, cumin, paprika, cayenne, turmeric, salt and pepper

    Use immediately or refrigerate for 24 hours. Yield: 1-1/2 cups SUGGESTED USE: Tandoori chicken is traditional Indian dish cooked in a special oven

    The marinade is, however, the special part

    Be sure to give it the full amount of marinating time

    If using a whole chicken (24 hours), work the marinade under the skin as well as all over the body

    This is also great on chicken pieces on the bone (12 to 24 hours) or boneless chicken breasts (4 to 8 hours)

  • 9

    Don't stop there, try this on jumbo shrimp (4 to 6 hours).

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 /4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
