Roasted Garlic

    Remove loose outer skin and place garlic heads in a small baking dish

    Pour olive oil over garlic

    Add the thyme, salt and pepper

    Cover and bake at 325?F

  • 5

    for 1 hour

  • 6

    Remove from dish and let cool

  • 7

    Squeeze each clove to soften

  • 8

    This is a delicious informal appetizer served with French bread and a mild, creamy cheese

    Or serve atop a half load of your favorite fresh pasta

  • 3 large, firm heads of garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
