In a large skillet, brown meat, mushrooms, onion and garlic

Add tomato sauce, tomato puree, water, bouillon cubes, Parmesan cheese, oregano, sugar, basil and pepper

Stir to blend ingredients

Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat, simmering for 30 minutes

Add 1/2 to 1 cup tomato juice for a thinner sauce

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1garlic clove, pressed
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10-1/2-ounce) can tomato puree
- 1 cup water
- 2beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup tomato juice (optional)
