In a saucepan, saute butter and garlic until golden brown

Drain clams, reserving all of the liquid

Stir in clam liquid and parsley; bring to a boil

Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 min- utes

Add clams and continue to simmer for about 5 minutes

A 6 ounce can tomato sauce may be added if desired.

- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 stick butter
- 3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
