Place mango, apple, onion, red pepper, red chili, garlic, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in a 3-quart saucepan

Bring to a boil over medium heat

Lower heat and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes or until fruit is tender and mixture has thickened slightly

Spicy Mango Chutney
ingredients
- 3 cups diced fresh or frozen mango
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- 3/4 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1 fresh red jalapeno chili, seeded and minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons minced crystallized ginger
