Heat apricot preserves in a small saucepan until melted. Strain preserves and stir in brandy

- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 3 tablespoons cold butter, cut up
- 1/2 cup apricot preserves
- 1 tablespoon brandy
- 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds
