Peel and cut up fruit that needs cutting into bite-size pieces

Combine all fruit in a large bowl

Whisk together all dressing ingredients and toss with fruit

Cover and refrigerate no more than 3 hours

Cut off top of watermelon and scoop out the melon and add to salad

Scallop cut the top edge and fill with fruit to serve.
SWEET FRUIT SALAD IN A WATERMELON BASKET
ingredients
- 8 to 10 cups mixed fresh fruit, such as:
- grapes, melon balls, blueberries, strawberries
- and/or peaches and nectarines
- 1 whole watermelon
- Dressing:
- 1/4 cup red currant jelly, melted
- 2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
