Stack basil leaves and cut across into thin strips

Set aside

Cut red peppers into batonnet strips

Finely chop shallots

Peel garlic cloves and mince to make 1/4 cup

Melt butter in a heavy large skillet over medium high heat

Add bell peppers, shallots and garlic and saute until shallots begin to soften, about 4 minutes

Mix in capers

Transfer mixture to a large baking dish. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Mix shrimp into vegetables and bake until shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes

Sprinkle with basil.
