    Mix all marinade ingredients together in a large bowl

    Add hamburger and knead thoroughly

    Cover tightly and let marinate in refrigerator for 6 to 12 hours. Pat hamburger into patties of approximately 1\4 lb

    each, and press between two sheets of wax paper

    Using a rolling pin, roll out the hamburger to 1\4 inch thickness, and cut into strips about 1 inch wide with a sharp knife. Place in dehydrator until dry

    While meat is dry- ing, blot excess oil with paper towel.

SMOKED HAMBURGER JERKY

ingredients

  • Makes about 1/2 lb jerky
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 TB allspice
  • 4 TBsugar
  • 2 tsp. fresh grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 TB liquid smoke
  • 2 lbs hamburger, leanest grade possible
