Refresh dried corn in a medium saucepan by cover- ing with boiling water

Let stand 2 hours. Add half-and-half, sugar, butter, salt and pepper to taste

Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until corn is soft

Watch carefully so that corn does not boil dry and burn

Yield: 4 to 6 servings.

- 1 1/2 cups dried corn kernels
- 3 cups boiling water
- 3/4 cup half-and-half (light cream)
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- salt and ground black pepper
