- 5 cups lean ground venison
- 1 cup ground beef suet
- 10 cups tart apples peeled and chopped
- 4 cups seedless raisins
- 2 cups dried apricots
- 1 cup currants
- 1 cup chopped citron
- 1 tsp. each of cloves, cinnamon, allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 2 cups honey
- 1 quart sweet cider
