  • Selection: Firm, crisp, ripe melon that breaks
  • crisply.
  • Preparation: Remove rind, and cut into 1/4 to 1/2
  • inch thick slices if using one or two trays. Cut 1/8
  • to 1/4 if using more than two trays.
  • Pretreatment: None is needed. May be dipped in
  • dry Jello mix or similar preparation.
  • Drying time: Dehydrator: 24 to 36 hours.
  • Dryness test: Pliable-no sign of moisture.
  • How to use: Eat dry, alone. Do not refresh.
  • Storage time: 2-4 months at 70 degrees F.
