ingredients
- Selection: Firm, crisp, ripe melon that breaks
- crisply.
- Preparation: Remove rind, and cut into 1/4 to 1/2
- inch thick slices if using one or two trays. Cut 1/8
- to 1/4 if using more than two trays.
- Pretreatment: None is needed. May be dipped in
- dry Jello mix or similar preparation.
- Drying time: Dehydrator: 24 to 36 hours.
- Dryness test: Pliable-no sign of moisture.
- How to use: Eat dry, alone. Do not refresh.
- Storage time: 2-4 months at 70 degrees F.
