Heat oil in a large skillet

Add onion and saute 5 minutes

Stir in green beans and saute over low heat until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes

Simmer 10 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thickened

Tomato, Sardine, and Green Bean Sauce
ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup trimmed and cut-up green beans (1/2 inch)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 cup chopped fresh tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1 (3-3/4 ounce) can sardines in olive oil, drained
- 2 tablespoons chopped Italian flat-leaf parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
