    Add cinnamon to the top of the coffee grounds, then brew coffee as usual

    Serve in earthenware or pottery mugs. Variation: Many like to serve dark brown sugar or pil- oncillo with the coffee

    Or you can add about 1/2 cup to the pot before serving

    Piloncillo is unrefined sugar, golden in color and with a more caramel flavor than granulated white sugar

  • 5

    You can find it in the Mexican foods section of your local grocery store or at a specialty shop.

  • dark roast coffee
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for each of 8 cups
