Beat egg yolks

Add powdered sugar slowly and beat well

Then add nuts and crumbled zwieback and mix well

Next add spices and beat thoroughly

Fold in beat- en egg whites. Spread batter in pan and add butter

Bake 25-30 min- utes in oven 375F

While still warm, pour syrup over cake, and let soak in

WALNUT HONEY CAKE
ingredients
- 1 pound shelled walnuts (ground finely)
- 12 slices Zweiback toast
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg
- 1 stick butter
- 12 eggs
