    Mix cream and raisins together in a saucepan over low heat

    In a bowl, beat together 3 egg yolks and 1 white

  • 3

    Add sugar, spice, salt; beat well

  • 4

    Add egg mixture to the cream and raisins and cook, stirring constantly, as it burns easily. Pour into a baked pie shell

  • 5

    Cover with a meringue made with 2 egg whites

  • 6

    When pie has cooled, brown in the oven to a light brown.

  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • 1 scant cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg yolks and 1 white
