Add the green onions, cilantro and pepper and process to a chunky puree

With machine running add the oil. Yield: 2 cups SUGGESTED USE: Chili paste with garlic is a very spicy mixture available at Asian grocery stores and many supermarkets

To control the heat in this marinade, cut back on the chili paste

Marinate a beef top sirloin or skirt or flank steak (4 hours) in this rich sauce.
Chili Paste Marinade
ingredients
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili paste with garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
